Just What I Needed

It seems like fun is just not in my vocabulary these days. My life is strictly business. Now that the school year is back in session it has been hard re-adjusting to teaching, running the store, and being a mom. I have not blogged because I have not been anywhere to blog. The only topic I would have possibly been able to write about is being tired and that does not sound too exciting.

In fact, up until my birthday two weeks ago, I hadn’t done anything since the wedding back in July. Sidenote, another reason I probably didn’t do anything was because I was being so cheapppppp…I was holding on to my last hair style until my birthday baby. I couldn’t let ya’ll see me like that lol. But I had to come through with the birthday hair so ya’ll see my inchesssss! lol

With all the busyness in my life, it was nice to unwind at DeLite Whitening’s event this Sunday at Johan’s Joe, (a really yummy breakfast place) as they re-launched their teeth whitening company. The company was originally established in 2014 by two dynamic women, Tahina and Marlynda. These two women know more than you can imagine about teeth whitening. You can book an appointment here. With the relaunch of their company, they are extending their reach by offering even more products. They are now offering their own toothpaste, charcoal whitening, and face mask. I know that the face mask may seem a little off from the teeth whitening but it’s actually not. Both focus on self-care and appearance. Your face is the first thing people see, then your teeth. Make them both beautiful.

It was nice getting out seeing old faces, mingling with new people, and dancing to great music. I wish Palm Beach had more day parties like this! The ladies gave away tons of items, sponsored by local boutiques such as Slayerz, The Bombshell Boutique, and of course yours truly, After 5 Lux. I actually won one of the raffles and I never win anything so imagine how excited I was. Perhaps, one of the best things about last night is that all proceeds from the raffle were donated to a local organization, Girls II Women, that focuses on empowering young girls in the community. I loveee mentoring the youth so I am looking into how I can assist the organization. They are actually looking for more volunteers so if you know someone let them know.

I was getting my Cardi B on, as I sported a lavender suit similar to Cardi’s Christian Cowan suit that she wore to Paris Fashion Week, except mine is After 5 Lux honey lol. I decided to add the fur stole for extra drama and yes I was about to pass out. That’s what happens when you try to force fall in South Florida. It was hard deciding what shoes to pair with the suit but I opted for open-toe for sexiness and something with silver detail just to stray away from the traditional gold. I have everyone buying these heels. They were supposed to be $29.99, got to the register and they were only $15. I told all my friends about them so I would be surprised if there are anymore left. You can find all my outfit details below.
