Atlanta Vibes and Airplane Comfort

You know you really enjoyed your trip when you contemplate relocating to that city. With some of the best lounges, eateries, malls, fashion enthusiasts, and my best friend, all located in Atlanta, how could I not love it?

The trip started off kind of crazy. Once we arrived to ATL Airport, I realized I misplaced my drivers license, preventing us from renting a car. Consequently, we had to use Uber for majority of the weekend. At first the idea was not so pleasant, but then I realized I use Uber when in NY so what’s the big difference? On top of that, we did not have to play “tag, you’re it” for a designated driver. Perhaps the best part about taking the Uber was how inexpensive it was. Most of our rides were only $5 and we did not have to pay any parking fees. That saved money allowed us to splurge on other things (like drinks)!

I worked the whole day last Friday and got straight on the plane after work. I knew I would be fatigued, so I made sure to wear something comfortable and cozy.

I get cold fast, and I hate being cold, so for the plane it was essential for me to be bundled up. I love this sweater because it is a mix of casual and classic. The navy and red colors are classic, but the plaid detail makes it very casual. The front pocket  was very convenient. When going through the airport, I would frequently stuff my phone or boarding pass in it. In this way, I did not have to worry about constantly reaching into my purse to check my phone. I coupled the sweater with a white longer button down shirt for two reasons (1) for a coloring blocking effect and (2) if I got too hot I could take off the sweater.

These jeans are perhaps my favorite part of the outfit. I fell in love with these jeans the very moment I saw them. I loved them so much I bought them three sizes too big (that is all the store had left). It worked though! It gave the jeans a boyfriend fit. Distressed jeans are so bomb and the added effect of the plaid patch gave them an extra pop. I imagine this would be a fun DIY project — to take a pair of your old jeans and add patches. You could do a daisy print for the summer, or maybe a green and navy plaid print to prepare for the fall.

Everything that should be handled with care was placed in my handbag — documents, lotion, sanitizer, MAKE-UP, ALL my sunglasses, toiletries, and my accessories. If you think a Neverfull never gets full, then you have not tried the Metis. She is my favorite travel buddy. I love the dual straps. When I want a more casual look I use the longer strap and place the bag on my shoulder. For more classier vibes I carry the bag as a top handle.

I pulled the look together with my favorite classic red pump. And of course I made sure to snap the occasional selfie. You can see my other looks from this past weekend by visiting my IG: @chelseanikole. There’s a risque little top and a draw dropping dress that you have to see 😉
